Week 2

Week 2: UV-vis Lab Part I

We will meet in lab this week to begin the UV-vis lab. The focus of this first day will be proper lab technique and lab safety.

Remember to wear safe attire to lab:

  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Long pants (covering your ankles)
  • Goggles or chemical-rated safety glasses
  • Nitrile gloves

To Do:

  1. Complete the Lab 1 Prelab.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the Lab 1 Procedure.
  3. Attend lab at 11:00 on Thursday! Location TBA – I’ve been told tables should be in place by Thursday but we’ll see!

Turn In:

  1. Remember to turn in your Lab 0 notebooks (notebooks 0A and 0B) on Canvas by Wednesday at midnight.

Coming Up:

  • Next week is for data processing and re-making standards, as needed.
